Green Explorers

Jen Killick - Room Manager

Welcome to The Green Explorers

Sleaford Day Nursery’s Green Explorers room is a vibrant but homely environment in which we can take up to 12 children at any one time. We attempt to offer a wide range of services of care throughout the day to support their needs and interests. The Green Explorers have a set range of care routines to ensure that all the children are changed and fed when needed. By end of each session, you will be provided with a feedback sheet on what your child has been doing (e.g. the period of their sleeping time) during the time they are at Sleaford Day Nursery. We provide a morning and afternoon snack and children should bring a packed lunch. Our staff are happy to talk about children’s individual feeding routines.

The activities are balanced between adult led and child led to ensure their learning and development is supported effectively. Furthermore, Green Explorers consists of different areas and enabling resources to promote active learning as well as supporting individual children’s unique needs, interests according to their learning style.

Throughout your child’s time in Green Explorers, we ensure that each individual child is able to achieve to their full potential and are ready and prepared for the next stage. The enhancement of the room and the stimulating environment we provide aims to help your children to flourish while in their early years.

We have key people to care and plan for their learning and development. All key people aim to develop a special bond with your child which helps them feel safe and secure while at the nursery. The development of healthy attachments between children, staff and their peers is important, contributing and supporting emotional well-being.
